Special Interview:

From small town Nebraska to the city of dreams, Hollywood, the Maynard triplets have their sights set on stardom! Meet Mandy, Missy, & Erin. You may have seen these beautiful 18 year olds on American Idol, auditioning together. Simon told them they have a chance at a group (that's great!) but then got nasty.

"You're all overweight. You all look like overweight Jessica Simpsons."

Ouch, boy that Simon can get nasty. And we all know that Jessica Simpson is way to skinny now-a-days. Not letting the Idol judge get them down, The triplets moved to Los Angeles to pursue their dream of super-stardom.

With a reality TV pilot already completed, and a deal with "The Janice Dickerson Project" on the Oxygen channel, these girls are already on their way. But television is just one of the girls' dreams, they are also working on a brand new album. They were nice enough to answer some questions!

So girls, tell me what your music "sound" is like?

Well it's like Kelly Clarkson meets the Dixie Chicks! We love pop music but we grew up in Nebraska singing country and we don't want to forget our roots! We are ready to bring a new type of music to the scene that isn't about just looking hot and dancing around in booty shorts.

And who are your musical influences?

Definatly Barry Manilow. If you saw us on Extra, they took us to meet him in Vegas and it was a dream come true. Mandy and Melissa are both named after his songs and we grew up with our parents playing his records every night when we went to sleep. They also toured the United States going to his concerts before we were born.

I saw your reality pilot on your MySpace page. Is that gonna make it to air, or did you guys move on from that?

That Pilot got us the gig on the Janice Dickinson Project. We are hoping to get our own show off of that soon.

AND... you girls were on ACCESS HOLLYWOOD! How did that happen?

After American Idol aired things blew up! within 5 minutes all of the news magazine tv shows had called us. Extra flew us out a few weeks later and we have been here ever since!

Now you've going to shoot a season of "The Janice Dickerson Project"? Tell me what that's all about.

Basically Janice is opening a new modeling agency and she has such a hectic schedule that she actually needs 3 assistants! so we are the 3 assistants who are also trying to do our music stuff on the side!

Things sure are happening quickly. Is it overwhelming, or are you just soaking it all in?

Everyday that we are out here doing are thing is a dream come true! we have 3 little sisters and our parents back home who support us and we are just so blessed to have all these opportunities!

If today was our last day as singers, we would just be thankful for all the great things we have already accomplished!
